For The Lovers Of Artistic Effect – The New ‘Eye Paint’ Shadows by Nars

Love the new pink

A Stairway To Fashion

The new shadows collection – ‘Eye Paint’ – from Nars come in ten bright and varied hues of cream shadows. They especially appeal to those who can, know and love to make a difficult makeup. Thanks to the new weightless gel formula these shadows can be used also as a liner – they really have a multi-use application. Despite the lightness of the texture, the colour lasts for 18 hours, the experts say. Rich, hyper-saturated shades that glide smoothly and dry down quickly in long-lasting finishes from icy metallics to modern mattes. Elevated artistry that boldly strays from the straight and narrow. The shades alter from fascinating silver, sky-blue, golden, chocolate, emerald-green, shimmering purple and deep black. Small transparent jars convenient to take along . The novelty has already entered the market and can be purchased on the official site of NARS for $ 25.00 each. Before these neat little jars will…

the pixie

Fabulous hair

JOSEPH BARTUCCI

A pixie is a timeless and iconic haircut.  What makes each one special?  Having the right artist that understands face shape to accentuate the individual’s features, and tailor it to their personality.

Launchpad Magazine recently put together a slideshow, Pixie-Perfect: 10 Best Pixie Haircuts of All Time.  I was inspired by this article and selected a few of my favorites to highlight below.

Short goes Shorter in 2014

What do you think of The Bob?

trendarising

A futuristic version of the classic short hair cut is popping up this spring 2014.   First seen at the Chateau Versailles Chanel holiday Cruise show in 2012 this trendy hair cut will make its way into the mass. This spring designers like Vera Vang and Oscar de la Renta have already adapted this short bob with its significant fringe into their fashion campaigns and presentations.

30 Hair Problems Every Girl Has

These are the 30 most truthful hair truth’s

Beauty High

hair problems

We wouldn’t all be so obsessed with our hair if we didn’t have so many ridiculous problems with it. Frizz, split ends, blowouts, and never being able to finish the shampoo and conditioner at the same time are just a few problems, but that’s just the beginning. Below are 30 hair problems every woman has. Have another we missed? Tell us in the comments below.

1. It does not matter how many serums, sprays or magical spells you put on your hair in the summer. Frizz is real and it’s happening, people.

2. Finding a hairstylist you can trust with your hair and your issues (let’s be real, they’re therapists as much as they’re stylists) is just about as hard as finding who you’ll marry.

3. You never “wake up like this” unless “this” means looking like a train wreck.

4. Saying you “just want a trim” and…

New Hair!! (Commence Freak Out.)

Oh man.

This is a posting record for me, guys. Maybe I’ll actually be able to do this blog thing! Cool.
Anyway. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I finally finally finally got a haircut. I’ve been waiting since literally like October pretty much, to get it cut this short again. My inspiration for this was a pretty recent picture of Norah Jones. Seriously, go google “Norah Jones bob” and just ogle at how great her hair is and you’ll know why she was my hairspiration (it’s a word, don’t worry).

Short hair is just so fun and also verrrrry manageable. Yeah, you gotta style it a little bit, but you never have to worry about creating a french twist (do people still do those?) or weird things like fishtail braids.

I’m trying out a few new things with this new hair, new products and a new diffuser so I’ll definitely keep you guys updated…

NYFW 2014
NYFW 2014

What an insane week it was! Amber here! I just got back from doing hair for New York Mercedes Benz Fashion Week working with the AMAZING and über talented Privé team for the 3rd season now. What perfect timing for us to have started a beauty blog. Here’s a little recap of the shows I styled hair for 🙂

LOVE THEM ❤ Madison Jane & Cantrell Mitchell. #NextGeneration 😉

Set up! Set up!

Get excited! The first show was a very eccentric, eclectic and a very eye appealing show to start off the week! Lindsay Degen is our first Fashion Week featured designer! She is incredibly unique, and has a very interesting form of expression. Her style is quirky and definitely brightens up a room.  The show was lead by Noemie Renvoize held at Industria Studio 10 in the Meat Packing District.
